Fresh and Healthy! At Corner Bakery in Chicago

I love when restaurants work hard to create fresh and healthy choices, packed with flavor!

Corner Bakery Cafe unveiled some new food items last week that are delicious and healthy!

In the Smoothie Department, they have added a  4 Berry Smoothie  and an Orange- Carrot-Ginger Smoothie. Both are made exclusively for Corner Bakery Cafes, bottled in California, and the cafe just adds ice and blends them up to order.


Get a quick pick-me-up with these health-friendly smoothies. Made with 100% real fruit and four servings of fruit per drink with no sugar added,  the Smoothies are ideal fuel-on-the-go for breakfast, lunch or snack time. You can add six grams of protein with a yogurt protein boost.


They have brought back their famous Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup! and have come up with some new salads  and sides.

I LOVE  the Fresh avocado,  topped with roasted corn and tomato salsa, and tortilla strips! This is available in the Trio  – or as a side dish.

Toasted Sesame Kale Salad – Made with fresh kale, shredded carrots and toasted sesame seeds in a ginger soy dressing, this salad is low in calories and packed with fiber, iron, calcium, antioxidants and vitamins A, C and K.- Available on the Trio  or as a side dish.

Quinoa and Pico Salad – Made with quinoa [keen-wah], corn, black beans, tomatoes, jalapenos, onions and cilantro in a zesty lime vinaigrette, this salad is complete in protein with all nine essential amino acids, high in fiber, rich in calcium and iron, and gluten-friendly.
